The community polytechnic Cell at Govt. Polytechnic ,Koderma started its functioning in the year 2000 under direct financing of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India and monitored by National Institute of Technical Teachers" Training & Research (Eastern Region), Salt Lake city, Kolkata-91 and under direct administration of Govt. of Jharkhand. The basic objective of this project is the integrated rural development through need base training to unemployed and underprivileged rural youth for gainful employment / self employment, Transfer of new or modern technology in rural areas, Support services in rural areas for development, & Dissemination of information in rural areas for their development. Information Dissemination on rural development is an important activity that brings about awareness and scientific outlook. We use a variety of indirect & direct communication methods for this purpose such as print & mass media programmes and awareness camps in various villages.

Operations Pattern: Before undertaking rural activities, we perform Socio-economic and Technical Baseline surveys in the area to identify the target group, kind of service, objective to be accomplished in measurable terms and the resources needed.
